Today I took 2 rides I earned a little under $40.00. The first party I picked up were 3 ladies from the Thunderbird hotel. When I arrived there the requester was pissed off at me because she says she ordered an XL and then I arrived in a Prius. I remember yesterday I picked up a party of 4 and when a 5th person tried getting in I said “I can’t take anymore than 4 people because it shuts off the insurance for me too.” I send out a note before I arrive saying just that. These rider’s don’t understand how Uber works. I said I do not know exactly why I am here if you ordered an Uber XL. I can tell you however that your luggage will fit in my car no problem at all. She said “well you’re here if you can get us and all of our luggage to the airport then I will just go with you and work out the money with Uber later. I was like cool, so we loaded up their luggage and headed to Tampa Airport. Even though the shotgun seat was completely clear all 3 sat in the backseat. I told the lady about this guy I picked up at This Airport once and he was heated, he requested a ride and the driver circled the airport several times and then canceled on him, and then Uber charged him $15.00. I told him to contact Uber and they will give him his money right back! He did something on his phone but he didn’t call them and Uber refunded his money right away. I told her I wouldn’t pay for an XL if I didn’t take an XL. She said I was nice and she was going to be mean to me because she had been consuming alcohol but she said she liked my music and the other lady that was sitting right behind me said that my car smelled a lot better than the other Uber rides she took while she was in FL. (They we’re on vacation from North Carolina) she tipped me $10 bux in the app! I wish all my riders were like her. It’s possible to turn angry rider’s into good tippers, if you just talk to them. I just talk to all my rider’s like they are other peoples kids. Some of them respond well to that and some unfortunately do not. I treat them all the same either way.
