Tuesday February 14th 2023 (Valentines Day)

By February 15, 2023February 16th, 2023Food for thought

Today, I decided that I am not going to drive tomorrow. I am waiting for some car parts
(sway bar links) that was supposed to arrive today from Amazon but Amazon emailed me
and advised they will not arrive until tomorrow. The ones that are in there now were replaced
already but are making noise and I am really sure they are the cause of that noise. A rider Sunday
gave me a 1-star rating I am sure because of that noise, I also borrowed from Peter and have
all of the bills paid for the month of February so not earning from driving tomorrow won’t hurt me as bad as it usually would. I will spend most of the day after I repair Ruby adding pages and writing my ridesharing ebook. There is plenty to
do, that is for sure.

Update: The parts came on 02/15/2023 from Amazon and I installed them on Ruby with success. That completely resolved the noise
issue that I am pretty sure got me a 1 star
rating last Saturday 02/11/2023. This is what I learned: I installed these in 2020 and I followed the same video, I watched a lot of
other videos but this is the main one I used to swap the part. I also used the actual parts from 1AAuto. This time, I used sway bar links from “suspension dudes” the 1AAuto ones you absolutely have to put on with a wrench and a #6 Allen key to “counter hold” the post with threads on it. I used “suspension dudes”
this time and I will now every time going forward because I can do the entire job with my electric impact wrench. There is no need to “counter hold” anything, which was awesome because I couldn’t find my number 6 Allen key.
if I needed that, I would of had to wait on one to be delivered from Amazon. Ruby is our only vehicle and it was down because I removed the old ones with my impact wrench and needle nose pliers. When I changed them in 2020, I used the flat tire Jack in the back of Ruby, I didn’t have a floor Jack yet. When just a single tire is lifted, it puts pressure on the sway bar. I was able to struggle and get the links on, but that struggle knocked my front end alignment way off and my front tires started wearing right away.
