Today I completed 2 trips and I earned a little
Under $50.00. I just can’t fathom putting so much money just to fuel up. I get to the Gas pump and the numbers I see from the person that was at the pump before me pumped $125.00 $140.00 sometimes I did see $80.00 once.
Those numbers are just crazy to me. I remember once when gas was over $4.00/Gallon I put $42.00 in it. That was the most Fuel Ruby
Ever took.
Today, I completed 3 trips and I earned a little over $70.00 U.S.
The last trip I completed around 620PM and headed to Manatee County.
I came home via I75 (no tolls) and I got home at around 720 PM
I do 30 minutes on the Peloton now so I did that, took my vitamins
took a shower, ate dinner, no I am doing a quick blog post and going to sleep.
Sleep is so important, When we sleep we literally recharge, I think that
is so cool!
Today and tomorrow are days that I don’t
drive for Uber, I work on other more important things. If I am goin to stop depending on my Uber income to support us, I need to work on those things right now and Monday’s and Tuesday’s are both days that I had my “Crosshairs” on since I quit/left my other Job
Mondays are always bad and I try to have at least 2 days in a row off and Sundays are usually the best daytime days for Uber driving.
So I don’t drive for Uber on Mondays or Tuesdays
I forgot to post last night so I am posting this now from Dolphin Village on St. Pete Beach
it seems like a slow day so far. I will probably end up driving to Downtown St. Petersburg to try and get some rides. My new Peloton shoes came yesterday. I wanted those sod shoes but I didn’t like them so I sent them back and ended up getting the exact same shoes as the ones I had before. I just need the Peloton to work perfectly every time I need to ride.
I completed 2 trip’s today for Uber. I earned
a little under $80.00 USD. I woke up this morning and there was a notification on my phone that someone I drove to TPA from St. Pete Beach gave me a $5.47 tip! I was like “troo”
it was also an “Oil Change Friday” they’re doing something different now. They evacuate the old oil by sucking it out of the dipstick tube. There is still a dude down in the pit but
that person mainly just changes oil filters all day long. I like this new method because I can see the old oil and it flows down the side of a clear container so I can see how dark it is and how much oil there is. They put in 4.4 quarts and I estimate that vacuum out 4 quarts maybe a lil more. I would say Ruby burns of some of that oil. The motor in her only has like 200K on it and the guy I purchased that motor from
Said it had on like 25K on it. He had 100 percent positive feedback and like 1400 transactions. When you buy a motor on EBay, you
Have to take the sellers word for it. Either
that or get one from the Stealership brand new.
I purchased it for around a grand and I had it shipped directly to the AutoMedic shop. That was in May of 2020.
Today I completed a total of 3 rides. I earned a little under $80.00. I overheard these two women
talking in the back seat, and I gathered that they were both teachers. When I was in school (A long time ago) I didn’t realize
how important teachers are. Cops also, I go out of my way to stay away from cops just because they are people
too and make mistakes, and I do not want to be one of their mistakes. They are very powerful and have the ability
to arrest, and that is very powerful, they are limited yes, but if you resemble a person that just committed a felony.
you are getting a set of bracelets, and they will ask questions later. Teachers are awesome because we trust them with our kids and that is HUGE. Cops
are awesome too but they can also be very bad. Teachers also can be very bad. But when there is someone doing something nasty
what do people do ALL the time, call 911. Then who has to deal with that? The cops. I don’t want to deal with pretty much anyone
at all, but the cops have to deal with the absolute nastiest people all the time, and they need to deal with dead people, dead kids
they have to deal with THE WORST OF THE WORST, ALL THE TIME. Anyway, these teachers were going to the Dali museum in Down Town St. Petersburg
so I got to talking to them, and told them a couple places that are really awesome to eat at. Someone had already told them
about Cassis Saint Petersburg and Parkshore Grill. Which I have not been to, but I have heard really good things about Parkshore
So I dropped them off at the museum and they went about their business and I went about mine. Then several minutes later
a tip came through for just over 4 dollars and 25 cents. Which is nothing in the big scheme of things, but the point is
to talk to all of your passengers about anything that comes to mind. I talk to all my passengers like they are someone else’s
kids. Kids that live with you tend to get treated more abrasively. I do not pretend to have all of the answers to anything
but if it were me in the back seat (which it often is) I just would want to be treated like, someone next to me, on a plane, or a
bus, or a train. Sometimes people don’t want to talk (like me) but I try to be as cool as possible with my riders. All of them.
Yes even the ones that leave me a 1 star rating, often that 1 star rating was decided on before the rider ever got in your vehicle.
If people don’t talk to me, I do not talk to them unless I hear something that interest me. then I will butt in and ask them, but then I shut up lol.

I was happy to make anything. Because I thought Uber was throttling me for telling the truth
on the internet. No body likes the truth anymore. I got a request to take someone to the airport
(TPA) and when I arrived the lady was pissed off because she ordered an UberXL which as anyone knows,
I drive a Prius for Uber and I have never driven an XL vehicle. A lot of people do not understand how
much room there is in a Prius. So I told her I just get a request and go to it, I do not know what
is requested by who. I advised her she could cancel and wait for an XL to come or I could definitely
fit her luggage in my car and take all three of them to the airport now. She opted to go with me
and I calmed her down (even though she had been drinking) on the way to the airport I got to thinking
the day before that, I was thinking Uber was throttling me for telling the truth I went to a location
in Gulfport, Florida and picked up a party of 4 and I told them when a 5th person tried to get in that
I could take no more than 4 people and I sent a note out before I got there that stated that in it.
The guy (number 5) was actually cool about it. He said he would just wait for another UberX. So I
chatted into Uber (because I hate calling them) and told them what happened both times and they
reclassified me as an UberX only. This happened to me before not the XL thing but they got mad
about my message sending as soon as I accept a request and the message Icon was completely removed
from the app, that completely shutdown my ability to start any type of messaging, It took away everything.
for example, it also took away my ability to say that I have arrived which I use all the time. I don’t
care that Uber sends out a notification that I have arrived, I need to send a message that I have arrived
so that it sends an in app message and a completely different type of sound IS ALSO made. Anyway, what was happening
this time is that I was not getting any large requests at all and I was limited to calls under $10.00
when I tried to accept large calls, they always said that that request is no longer available. I had to
take small calls and I had to allow drinks in my car (which I never do) and at the end of each full day
of this I would end up earning less than 40 bux which is a HUGE problem for me. So when I was reclassified
as an Uber X only, that fixed the problem completely. Yesterday, I got home around 8PM I had a lot
to do yesterday before I started driving I did not start until around 4PM. Anyway, got home around 8PM
I do 39 mins on the Peloton at night now because I changed my diet and I am getting fatter. So I finished riding
I took a quick shower, ate dinner, and went to my room and collapsed for the night. I didn’t blog, I didn’t
upload anything to TikTok, I just slept until this morning and now I am playing catchup lol.
Today I took 2 rides I earned a little under $40.00. The first party I picked up were 3 ladies from the Thunderbird hotel. When I arrived there the requester was pissed off at me because she says she ordered an XL and then I arrived in a Prius. I remember yesterday I picked up a party of 4 and when a 5th person tried getting in I said “I can’t take anymore than 4 people because it shuts off the insurance for me too.” I send out a note before I arrive saying just that. These rider’s don’t understand how Uber works. I said I do not know exactly why I am here if you ordered an Uber XL. I can tell you however that your luggage will fit in my car no problem at all. She said “well you’re here if you can get us and all of our luggage to the airport then I will just go with you and work out the money with Uber later. I was like cool, so we loaded up their luggage and headed to Tampa Airport. Even though the shotgun seat was completely clear all 3 sat in the backseat. I told the lady about this guy I picked up at This Airport once and he was heated, he requested a ride and the driver circled the airport several times and then canceled on him, and then Uber charged him $15.00. I told him to contact Uber and they will give him his money right back! He did something on his phone but he didn’t call them and Uber refunded his money right away. I told her I wouldn’t pay for an XL if I didn’t take an XL. She said I was nice and she was going to be mean to me because she had been consuming alcohol but she said she liked my music and the other lady that was sitting right behind me said that my car smelled a lot better than the other Uber rides she took while she was in FL. (They we’re on vacation from North Carolina) she tipped me $10 bux in the app! I wish all my riders were like her. It’s possible to turn angry rider’s into good tippers, if you just talk to them. I just talk to all my rider’s like they are other peoples kids. Some of them respond well to that and some unfortunately do not. I treat them all the same either way.
