The head unit in Ruby/my car is still down. I didn’t drive for Uber again today. I was thinking this is the longest forced vacation
I have had since I started driving for Uber. Today I took some drone footage of a chipotle near where I live, the bank next door and
Lewis tree trux that are parked nearby. All three places were so close together, I was able to film them all with a single battery.
When the battery gets down to 5 minutes, the remote starts making this loud audible noise and then like 30 seconds later, it starts
returning to home (which I always cancel). That feature is kind of cool when you first start flying drones, but it gets annoying real quick.
So I always try to land or start heading back to land when there is 6 or more minutes left on the battery to avoid that alarm.
There are a lot of other things to pay attention to while flying, so I wasn’t paying attention to the battery time. I was filming the Lewis
tree trux and that alarm started going off. I was able to land it, without the return to home feature starting.

I didn’t drive for Uber again today. Everything
else with Ruby is fine. I have thought about this a lot today. I could just get a speaker to play music from my MP3 player. Good-sounding music is so important though. I guess I am not driving this weekend because I don’t have to. I borrowed from Peter this month everything is paid. I try to be productive as possible. I edited some footage and sent out a letter today. There is a WaWa getting built on the Southwest corner of 54th Avenue North and 66th Street in St. Petersburg, FL. I took some drone footage of that and sent it to their headquarters in Pennsylvania. Then I edited some more videos to upload later. I try to do something that may produce, each day.

I just got home from picking up Ruby/my car from AutoMedic. The brake issue is resolved but something was reset by the tech there and the clock time is like 2 hours off, a full tank of gas usually says like 425-450 miles it said 515, and the head unit in Ruby has an error on it that says “insert map DVD” the only button on the radio that worx is the eject button, it opened the screen and then spit a disk out from a slot that I didn’t even know existed. That screen used to have something that told you what road you are driving on right then. It was very handy, you wouldn’t think so, but it was. When it stopped working I noticed right away. It said something about updating the navigation map for over 6 months. Everything except the navigation still worked. Music is EXTREMELY important in a Rideshare vehicle. With that error on the screen, NOTHING works, not even the backup camera, nothing. I watched a couple YouTube videos on it and I saw this one that had this dude, he showed his screen and it had the exact same message. He tried everything except replacing the complete head unit (which I sourced/priced at $300.00 for the used part plus my labor. He listed a lot of the trouble shooting he had already done (he was young like 25 or so. He did not let on anything at all. He said his absolute last troubleshooting step was to buy the DVD he said he got the newest possible revision and it was 2017 he put it in, and it worked, I saw it with my own eyes. The newest revision now is 2019 so I bought one from EBay unfortunately, Amazon didn’t have it. It will be in my hands 03/03/2023 – 03/05/2023. It cost $62.19 shipped if it would of changed the latest date getting to me, I would have paid it, but it didn’t. So I will drive for Uber Saturday 03/06/2023 probably.

I just got back to Ellenton after dropping Ruby off to get a new/use ABS accumulator and pump. The Uber ride home was in a Toyota Camry, White not sure exactly what year, but it was a very nice car. The only way I could describe that car in a single word: clean!

I went to the UPS store and the Bank today in Ruby, the ABS light blinked for a moment other than that there was no problem at all with Ruby. Tomorrow night I will drive Ruby to AutoMedic and take an Uber or Lyft (whichever is cheaper) home.

Ruby is still down. I took it to the UPS store down the street.
it still did not have the light lit on the dashboard. The brakes were
normal also. The part arrived today. I still have an apointment with

I drove Ruby to the grocery store today and there were no lights on the dashboard
ruby drove fine there and back. I got an appointment at Automedic for this Friday 02/24/2023 the
part that is going to be installed will arrive to me Thursday 02/24/2023.
So I will be able to earn from Uber this weekend, so that is s good thing. I was planning that I would
not be able to earn from Uber until next Wednesday, which is the first of March 2023

Today is Sunday which is almost always a good driving day for Uber.
Ruby (my car) is still down and will be down until the part arrives
eBay estimated it will be in my possession 02-23-2023 02-25-2023 which means
the part will arrive next Thursday – Saturday. So I only drive Ruby on mandatory
missions, for example, tomorrow is Grocery Shopping day, so I will go straight to
Walmart and then straight home, I will park Ruby and will not drive her again until
I take her to Automedic.I went to Surterra today (which is my Favorite dispensary)
I also went to the Dollar Twenty-Five Tree and Chipotle (Chipotle is my favorite
place to eat, I eat there pretty much every day before I drive) (critical mission)
I estimated my days home here to be 9 days in total. So I got 9 days of snacks for myself from the
Dollar Twenty-Five Tree. I got what should last me for 5 days of Marijuana from
Surterra. Just one of the things that are so awesome about Surterra
(other than their mini pre-rolls) is that they allow the stacking of discounts
on top of other discounts. I am on all of the Dispensaries’ email lists.
so when they have a sale, I stock up. When I first got my medical license,
my threshold for deals was at least 30 percent. So I wouldn’t even go into a Dispensary
unless they were extending at least a 30 Percent discount. There is no
sales tax in Florida on Medicine and they treat Cannabis as medicine.
A grower from Colorado told me they tax the shit out of Growers.
So in the instance, they are offering a BOGO deal, I look at the normal price
and the price that I would be paying, and if there was not at least a 30 Percent
discount, I do not even go there. Now my threshold is 40 Percent. Surterra has a
loyalty point program. Before I went there today, I had 912 points, when you get to
$500.00 they give you a 10 percent discount. I love their “Theragels” because they make me fall
right to sleep and they’re pretty much the only thing that does that. Icebaths work too
but I have never had to take one. A cold shower for about 45 seconds does the same thing
for me that Ice baths do for Tim Ferris. Anyway, “Theragels” are expensive, normally they are
$75.00 for 40 of them. I take them two at a time to sleep, so for a 1 month’s supply, I have
to get at least 2 packs of 40. Surterra has been out of Theragels for several months.
So in preparation for the next 9 days at most, I got from
Surterra 1 package of mini prerolls the .. 25-gram ones, and then a 5 pack of the slightly
bigger prerolls .50 ones were like 17.5 after 40 Percent off, and 1 40 pack of theragels.
With my loyalty discount that made my discount 50 Percent off which is pretty good, I think anyway.
The thing about Marijuana is that it grows from the ground AND it is a consumable product.
So if they give good discounts, they can easily replenish them with no problem. When I was a teenager
there were no discounts and the only time you had good pot was when the person you got it from
had good pot, if they had bad pot, you got bad pot and that was it. These dispensaries are all VERY
modern and very nice too. They make money hand over fist and I love them and so do their customers.
Owning a dispensary chain is very lucrative.

Today, I was headed to Pinellas County to drive for the day, and I noticed this on the dashboard. I am just glad it didn’t happen with a passenger in the car, that has happened to me before, and it sux. I have already replaced this with a brand new part (on Page 2 of the maintenance log) These codes mean the ABS system is not functioning which makes the brakes really hard to press and not as effective at stopping the vehicle. I can still drive the vehicle, for example, there is now a Chipotle in Ellenton which I love, and I drove Ruby there with no problem, Monday when I need to go grocery shopping at Walmart I will drive there also. I just can’t put the usual 200 miles I put on Ruby each day. I gotta say, almost 500,000 miles anything that goes wrong with Ruby now, isn’t okay yet, but I understand why things fail. I have already ordered the part (using my mother’s CC of course lol) and contacted my mechanic. eBay (Amazon didn’t have the part this time) says the part won’t be here until 02-23-2023 – 02-25-2023 which is 1 week from today and then my mechanic doesn’t work on the weekends so I am looking at Monday 02/27/2023 for a repair date. So until then, I will be at this computer trying to earn money in a different way nothing new, I have needed to actually do that all along, and now, I have time to do it.

The Uber app says I completed 4 trips today. I earned a little over $155.00. I picked up this dude from the St. Petersburg Pier today and on the way to Tampa International Airport he told me Frontier airlines “Nickel and Dime” their passengers to death. He said Frontier charges $50.00 USD for each carry-on piece of luggage, carry-on not checked baggage and they charge you for picking your seat too. He said all the seats are priced differently. I know now, I will never fly Frontier.
